EAGLE-eyed viewers of the newly released TV thriller ‘The Crow Girl’ may spot a familiar Somerset beach feature in the series.
The six-part adaptation of Erik Axl Sund’s international best-selling novel, which stars Dougray Scott and Eve Myles, releases today (January 16) on Paramount+.
Key scenes in episode five of the psychological thriller were shot on Brean Sands in April last year with the help of Screen Somerset – Somerset Council’s film office.

The area has been used for a host of productions over the years, including Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Sanditon, The Killing Kind, and BBC’s 2006 adaptation of Dracula.
Cheddar Gorge was also reportedly recently used for Danny Boyle’s upcoming zombie film, 28 Years Later.
The Crow Girl follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn and eminent psychotherapist Dr. Sophia Craven as they join forces to hunt the killer of young men.
The investigation takes Jeanette and Sophia into a dangerous world of historic abuse and murder.
Filming and TV production supported by Screen Somerset (funded from the Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund) has generated an estimated £3m of spend in the local area in the last 12 months.
