FORMER EastEnders star – and now comedy icon – Shaun Williamson is bringing his feel good karaoke party – Barrioke – to Somerset.
The actor, who became a household name portraying hapless Barry in the BBC soap, has reinvented himself through a range of projects since leaving the show.
He appeared alongside Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant in Extras, and has become known as a performer through singing gigs and now, his Barrioke production – which sees him host a night of singalong classics involving himself and the audience.
And he will be bringing the show to the Cheese and Grain in Frome on February 7.
“There are icons of the silver screen, there are Oscar winners, Bafta winners and Golden Globe winners, but are there any of these global stars that you would rather sing with on stage than the coolest man on TV – Shaun Williamson?,” a spokesperson said.
“Shaun hosts the event with his usual trademark warmth and teasing banter, accompanying participants on stage, creating a riotous, joyous moment that people will never forget.
“This is the ultimate Insta moment, something people will talk about and want to be part of.”
The star has confirmed 2026 will be the final year he tours Barrioke, so tickets are sure to be in demand.
