THE first ever Langport Art Trail will launch next month – coinciding with Somerset Day celebrations.
Showcasing talent across the area, the trail will run from May 9 to 11 and is organised by the Langport Area Business Group.
“From White Chapel on The Hill in Langport to the Fluft workshop at Bowden Farm in Hambridge, the Art Trail invites visitors to explore a carefully curated route featuring a wide range of local artwork displayed in shops, cafés, and independent businesses,” a spokesperson said.
“Whether you’re a keen art lover or a casual browser, there’s something to inspire and delight — and everything is available to purchase.”

Visitors can also sign up for creative workshops led by Langport artists, giving them the chance to get hands-on, be inspired, and create a unique piece of art.
The weekend also coincides with Langport’s Friday Market (May 9), and the much-loved Saturday Vintage Market (May 10).
To round off the celebrations, there will be a one-off Arty Market on Somerset Day – Sunday, May 11 – featuring a variety of handmade treasures, local crafts, and artistic pieces.
Langport Art Trail maps will be available from April 25 at:
• South West Makers (Langport)
• Langport Vintage (Langport)
• The Handmade Gallery (Langport)
• Kitchen at the Wharf (Langport)
• Fluft (Hambridge)
• and other participating venues
“This is a joyful new event for Langport, bringing together art, community, and the unique spirit of Somerset,” the spokesperson added. “Come and be part of something beautiful. Everyone is welcome.”
