Dance show will highlight issue of domestic abuse – and celebrate survivors

THE issue of domestic abuse will be highlighted – and the strength of survivors celebrated – during a dance recital in Taunton.

Wyvern Hall, at Queens College, will be the venue for Rise in Heels, on October 11, running from 1pm until 4pm.

“The dance is a heels-style dance with Heels with Harley, in collaboration with Going Unbroken, where we will be raising awareness of domestic abuse while celebrating strength, confidence and community,” a spokesperson for the event said.

“And because no empowering day is complete without a little indulgence, we’ll have plenty of treats to keep the energy flowing.

“Every step we take together helps shine a light on domestic abuse and the strength of those who rise above it.”

Goodie bags handed out on the day will include services to support people on their journey.
