ACCLAIMED singer songwriter CMAT is the latest Glastonbury-bound performer to announce to announce an intimate warm-up show in Somerset.
The star will be at the Cheese & Grain in Frome on Wednesday, June 25, ahead of a set at Worthy Farm.
Tickets – priced at £30 – are available in a pre-sale, for artist and Cheese & Grain Friends, from 10am on Thursday (May 8), while the general sale begins at 10am the following day via cheeseandgrain.com/events/cmat.
Hailing from Dublin, via County Meath, in Ireland, Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson shot to fame after the release of her debut long-player If My Wife New I’d Be Dead, in 2022.
Follow-up – Crazymad, For Me – followed in October 2023 and was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award and the Mercury Prize.
“Once, twice, three times a loser at 2024’s BRITs, Mercury Music Prize and Ivors, soon to release a new album, Euro-Country, which will rectify these errors,” a spokesperson said.
She is set to appear on the Friday of Glastonbury (June 27), following her show at the Cheese & Grain.
News of her show comes after another warm-up gig, by indie heroes Wunderhorse, sold out the Cheese & Grain in under an hour after tickets went on sale.
