CAROLS and amusing readings will be at the heart of festive performance by a Somerset choir.
The Castle Cary Choir is busy preparing for its annual Christmas Concert, at Cary Methodist Church, set to run on December 19.
Organisers said the gathering will include not only traditional and more unusual carols, but also Christmas songs and “amusing readings”.
“The choir doesn’t normally do concerts for itself, as a Registered Charity its work and pleasure is to raise money for other charities and good causes,” a spokesperson said.
“The income from this particular concert is shared between the choir and the Methodist Church.”
The concert gets underway at 7.30pm on December 19, with seasonal refreshments in the interval included in the ticket price, of £10.
Tickets can be bought in advance from Bailey Hill Bookshop, in Castle Cary High Street, or on the door.
“We look forward to seeing you there for an evening of Christmas fun and a chance to join in with some of the carols we all know and love,” the spokesperson added.
