BRISTOL-based artist Tom Sledmore – one of the artists behind a popular Somerset mural – has been picked to lead the creation of a piece in Bridgwater.
Tom Sledmore, who was part of the creative team behind the ‘Perchance to Dream’ artwork at the Brewhouse theatre in Taunton, has been selected as the lead artist for the Eastover Mural Project.
He was chosen by a community panel of Bridgwater residents in a bid to ensure the project reflects the town’s diverse voices and creative spirit.
The artist is widely known for his distinctive mural style that blends realism, fine art, and abstract expressionism.
The Eastover Mural Project – funded from the Bridgwater Town Deal, Somerset Association of Local Councils (SALC) and Seed (funded by Creative People and Places – Arts Council England) who are the lead producers on the project – will see a piece created in the area and create an artistic legacy.
