POLICE want to trace this man after two men were assaulted near a pub in Bridgwater – with both being taken to hospital.
The incident unfolded outside a pub in St John Street at around 10.10pm on Saturday, February 7.
“Two men, aged between 30 and 40, were assaulted and taken to hospital with injuries which are not life-changing or life-threatening, and have since been discharged to continue their recovery at home,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.
A man in his mid-thirties was arrested on suspicion of assault and wounding with intent and has been released on conditional bail.
“We are now issuing an image of a man we would like to speak to as we believe he may have information which could assist our enquiries,” the spokesperson added.
“The man, pictured, is described as white, aged between 30 ad 40, around 6ft tall, of medium build, with a long brown beard, who was wearing a blue T-shirt, grey trousers, and a dark coloured cap with a white logo.
“CCTV and house-to-house enquiries have been carried out, and statements have been taken while investigations continue.”
