New business networking group for women to launch this week

A SOMERSET care home will host the launch of new women’s business networking group.

On Friday (March 13), Crandon Springs Care Home in Wells will host the first gathering of the monthly Business Women in Networking group between 10am and noon, bringing together people for “a morning of meaningful conversation, fresh ideas, and supportive connections”.

Crandon Springs general manager, Meg Cleal, said: “At Crandon Springs Care Home, we are privileged to be surrounded every day by incredible women. This includes those who live here, each with a lifetime of achievements and stories, and the dedicated women who work in social care, showing compassion, skill and leadership, and making a profound difference every day.

“We are delighted to open our doors to support this new group to help local business women. We hope to strengthen our connections between generations of women, support female entrepreneurship, and play an active role in building a more equal and supportive community.”

The Business Women in Networking group will meet at the Glastonbury Road care home on the second Friday of each month, run by Wells-based strategic marketing consultant, Victoria Marshall.

“Networking can be a tad daunting, but we want to make it easy,” she said.

“We’re offering a relaxed and welcoming space for women at all stages of their business journey.

“If you’re looking to make new connections, find like-minded women to connect and collaborate with, then it’s definitely worth coming along, but you will need to book to guarantee your place.”

She said the group would support women “at every stage of their business journey”, creating an environment “where women feel encouraged, connected and confident to grow”.

Tickets cost £10 per person, including refreshments, via www.businesswomenin.org or by email to book@businesswomenin.org.
