A TRACTOR was “severely damaged” by a fire at a Somerset farm this morning (February 28).
Firefighters from Yeovil and Crewkerne were sent to the scene, at Hazelbury Plucknett, at just before 11.30am after reports of a blaze involving a tractor and trailer.
“Once on scene, crews confirmed a tractor well alight,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“Crews got to work using one breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a thermal image camera and a triple extension ladder to control and extinguish the fire.”
They added: “Unfortunately, the tractor was severely damaged by fire while the trailer was lightly damaged.”
