Free spring fair announced at Bridgwater’s Blake Museum

THE Friends of Blake Museum will hold their annual Spring Fair at the Bridgwater venue on Saturday, March 14.

Running from 10am to 1pm, the Blake Street museum will welcome shoppers with a range of stalls, including craft items, books, preserves and bric‑a‑brac.

Entry is free, with homemade cakes and refreshments available, with the museum shop open throughout the morning.

A raffle and tombola will also take place as part of the event.

The Spring Fair is one of the regular fundraising activities organised by the Friends to support the ongoing work of Blake Museum.

Blake Museum is a 16th-century house located in the heart of Bridgwater which has been welcoming the public since 1926, showcasing the archaeology and history of the town.

It is said Robert Blake, the town’s most famous citizen, was born in the house in 1598.
