CLARKS Village saw increased footfall and increased sales in the run-up to Christmas – beating national retail levels.
The outlet centre, in Street, has released figures for the final months of 2025 – dubbed the ‘golden quarter’ for retailers as Christmas sales surge.
And during the period, total footfall at Clarks Village rose by 5.7% year-on-year, outperforming the British Retail Consortium (BRC) national benchmark, which fell by 0.3%.
The increase generated a 4.7% year-on-year rise in sales, compared with the national benchmark of -0.2%.
Key trading dates – such as Black Friday – were particularly successful, the Landsec-owned centre said.
The week of Black Friday 2025 was a record-breaking time, seeing the highest sales ever recorded in Clarks Village’s history, up 8.3% on the previous year, with footfall up 3.9% year-on-year.
On Christmas Eve, footfall was up 4% year-on-year, with a sales uplift of 14%, while Boxing Day also saw a 3% rise in footfall and 19% rise in sales.

Gifts, toys, and cards was the strongest performing category at Clarks Village over the golden quarter, with sales up 10.9% year-on-year, boosted by recent additions to the outlet such as The Gift Company and The Handmade Boutique, both of which opened ahead of the Christmas season.
Clothing was the next-best performing category, with a year-on-year sales increase of 5.1%, supported by new additions from Pro:Direct, Scamp & Dude, Castore and Hackett.
The festive ice rink at Clarks Village, in place from November until that start of January, also saw growth of 21% compared to the previous year.
Marc Myers, retail operations director at Clarks Village, said: “As the UK’s first and original retail outlet, Clarks Village has always been at the forefront of innovation and strives to exceed guest expectations.
“The outlet provides a vibrant shopping environment with an unrivalled combination of top brands and engaging experiences in a relaxed yet modern setting which has driven strong sales and footfall ahead of the national average, even delivering record-breaking performances.
“We’re excited to build on this success over the course of 2026 and beyond.”
