A FORMER bank premises in Ilminster is up for sale.
The property, in East Street, was home to NatWest for decades before the bank closed in May 2023.
Now, the Grade II-listed property is up for sale and being marketed by Derbyshire’s, with a guide price of £245,000.
The listing said it was a “great opportunity” to purchase a listed “commercial property”.
it is laid out over two floors and in the “heart of the market town of Ilminster”, the listing went on, with commercial premises on the ground floor and “offices and store rooms” on the first floor.
“Potential investment or development opportunity (subject to planning),” the listing added, with a rental value of around £25,000 per year.
The ground floor features the former public area of the bank and cashiers, along with back offices, a stationary room, kitchen area, strong room/bank vault, toilets, a boiler room, two meeting/interview rooms, and a corridor with stairs to the first floor.
On the first floor are four potential office rooms, a kitchen, toilets and store rooms.
