CCTV is now in operation at a Somerset park.
Wellington Park is now under camera cover after work to install the CCTV was completed in recent weeks.
Wellington Town Council has now confirmed the cameras are operational.
“We have opted for black poles to help them blend in better to the heritage surroundings and will be painting the brackets and backs of the solar panels black to complete the look,” a spokesperson said.
The cameras are solar powered, the spokesperson added, to “avoid digging up the park to connect the cameras to mains power, as well as keeping with our environmental goals to move towards greener energy”.
It comes after a public toilet block in the park was shut last year after a spate of vandalism.
