A FOOTPATH at a Bridgwater park has been improved to improve access for residents.
Bridgwater Town Council (BTC) has completed work on a section of path at St Matthews Field.
The improved section runs adjacent to the allotments, connecting to Meads Eco Park and the neighbouring Haygrove Park housing estate.
BTC said the upgraded path provides a “safer and more enjoyable route for walkers, runners and visitors to the popular green space”.
The route is also regularly used by the St Matthew’s Field Parkrun.
Cllr Tim Mander, chair of BTC’s Amenities Committee, said: “We’re delighted to see these improvements completed at St Matthews Field.
“This work is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing Bridgwater’s open spaces for everyone to enjoy. The upgraded path will benefit local residents, visitors, and the growing Parkrun community who use this area every week.”
