RESURFACING work on a busy Wellington road has been delayed by bad weather.
Somerset Council has confirmed the start of work on the A38 between the West Park and Chelston roundabouts has been put back.
The roadworks were set to get underway on January 5, but the council said “adverse weather” had put back the start date.
“The first section of our resurfacing programme on the A38, West Park roundabout to Chelston roundabout, has been delayed by adverse weather,” a spokesperson said.
It means motorists avoided evening closures of the route – set to be in place between 6.30pm and 11.30pm.
“We’ll confirm the revised start date as soon as possible,” the spokesperson added.
