TEENAGER Oakley Coffey-Noon has been charged after a moped failed to stop for police.
The incident, at around 4.30pm on Boxing Day (December 26), occurred on the A38 at Dunball, near Bridgwater.
Police said 19-year-old Coffey-Noon, of Burnham-on-Sea, had been charged with “a number of driving offences” in relation to the incident, “in which a moped failed to stop for an officer”.
The teen has been charged with taking a motor vehicle without consent (a moped), driving without due care and attention, failing to stop for the police, driving without a valid licence, driving without insurance and possession of a class B drug.
He has been released on bail to appear at Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Friday, January 23.
