86-home Somerset housing development sells out

WHEN work starts on a new housing development, residents living nearby generally ask the question – who is going to buy all these houses?

Well, one developer is celebrating after the last of 86 new homes at a Somerset site sold.

Barratt Bristol’s Brue Place, on Huntspill Road, Highbridge, launched in 2022 and has now been completely sold.

As part of the scheme, the housebuilder invested £169,190 into supporting improvements to transport, education and amenities through a planning agreement to enhance the area.

Richard Lawson, sales director for Barratt Bristol, said: “We are delighted to have provided much-needed new homes in Somerset while contributing to the growth of the local community.

“It’s easy to see why our Brue Place development has been such a huge success, with its fantastic location and homes that combine sleek, modern interiors with the practical functionality needed for everyday family living.

“The development is such a special place to live and we are thrilled to have fulfilled what we set out to do.”

Barratt Bristol is currently building elsewhere in the county, including at Somer Meadows, in Midsomer Norton.
