THE winner of Bridgwater’s Christmas Shop Window Competition has been revealed – as part of a contest that brought “joy” to the town.
Windows across the town centre have been reflecting the festive season this month, as traders took part in the annual town council-run competition.
The mayor and mayoress of Bridgwater toured the town, taking in the festive displays, before judging the winners – and a host of special mentions.
“After much deliberation, this year’s winner was Victoria Hair and Spa,” a Bridgwater Town Council spokesperson said.
“While the display initially impressed the judges, they were further struck when speaking with Victoria at the presentation, learning that many of the decorations had been reused or handmade, giving the festive scene a strong focus on sustainability.”
The judges also gave special mentions to MANE, Alise & Louie, and The Crafty Collective for their “wonderfully decorated windows”.
Cllr Kathy Pearce, Mayor of Bridgwater, added: “It was a joy to see so many businesses embracing the festive spirit and helping to brighten the town. Every display brought something unique and creative to Bridgwater.”
“A huge thank you to all participating businesses for making Bridgwater shine this Christmas,” the council added.
