POLICE have been patrolling a derelict Somerset factory after reports of anti-social behaviour – and young people entering the site.
Avon & Somerset Police PCSO Will was in Evercreech following the reports and took the opportunity to warn people that entering such sites is illegal – and dangerous.
“We want to remind everyone that entering derelict buildings is not only illegal but extremely dangerous,” a police spokesperson said.
“These sites often contain unstable structures, broken glass, hazardous materials, and other unseen risks that could lead to serious injury or worse.
“Parents and guardians, please speak with your children about the dangers and legal consequences of trespassing. Let’s work together to keep our community safe.”
Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity or has concerns should report it on 101.
