A SOMERSET park is set to become a Garden of Light tomorrow night (October 25) during a special free illuminated event.

Wellington Park is being taken over by light and live performance between 6.30pm and 9pm on Saturday, alongside aerial arts, fire and light illuminations, sound installations, wall projections, music and more.

“Explore the gardens as you have never seen or heard it before,” a spokesperson said. “Discover trails of light art works created by local creatives, young people and communities.”

People can book free tickets online, or pay what they can, with donations accepted to support art projects and events in Wellington.

“We advise not to bring dogs as this is a busy environment with children, families, visitors to the event and fire, light illuminations, music, light sculptures, lanterns made by local young people and the fabulous aerial/fire performances,” a spokesperson added.

“We would like to thank Wellington Town Council and Arts Council, England for supporting the event and Fusion Dance Circus and FUSE Outdoor Arts team.”
