Cable work will see section of Taunton playing fields fenced off until November

A SECTION of playing fields in Taunton will be fenced off to allow for work to improve the power supply at Musgrove Park Hospital.

The works aim to improve infrastructure at the hospital and invole some cables being moved.

Taunton Town Council said this will see some work being carried out at the Galmington Playing Fields.

“In order to keep the public safe while the National Grid engineers undertake this work, hoarding will be erected on a portion of the playing fields on August 11 and will remain in place until the project is complete; they anticipate this to be the end of November,” a council spokesperson said.
