STREET Post Office – which shut its doors in January – is re-opening, it has been announced.
The Post Office, formerly in the WH Smith branch in the High Street, closed after the retailer said it was “not sustainable”.
However, the Post Office has confirmed the facility will re-open at the same venue, after securing the services of an ‘experienced operator’ to take it on from June 9.
Antoinette Chitty, the Post Office’s area change manager, said: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are delighted to soon be restoring service at the same location as before.”
The re-opened Post Office will be open 49 hours each week, between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am until 1pm on Saturdays.
