AMER Khan has been jailed after stabbing and slashing a victim at a Yeovil pub.
The 44-year-old, from Yeovil, stabbed the victim in the armpit and cut his neck during the incident in Preston Road in July 2023.
At Taunton Crown Court on April 1, Khan admitted causing grievous bodily harm and was sentenced to 25 months in prison.
The victim required hospital treatment after the incident, and was subsequently discharged home to continue his recovery.
Khan was arrested the following day and later charged after an investigation.

DC Simon Ledbury, the investigating officer, said: “This was a shocking incident and such horrendous acts of violence will never be tolerated.
“We are committed to robustly dealing with knife crime across Avon and Somerset and we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure Khan faced justice.
“I’d like to thank the victim for their support throughout our investigation – he faced a terrifying attack but thankfully has made a full recovery.”
