A TRACTOR driver stopped in Street on suspicion of drink-driving has been charged.
A 34-year-old man was allegedly behind the wheel of a vehicle in Stonehill, Street, at around 7.45pm on Saturday night (February 22) when stopped by police.
An Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson has now confirmed he was charged and is due to appear in court next month.
“Officers arrested a man on Saturday, February 22, at about 7.45pm in Stonehill, Street, on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle, namely a tractor, while under the influence of alcohol,” they said.
“The man, 34, was subsequently charged and bailed to attend Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 11.”
