Fire service rescues person trapped in car following Cheddar crash

A PERSON was rescued by the fire service after their car crashed into a wall in Cheddar.

The crash took place sometime before 11.30pm yesterday (February 23) and it was reported that the person was subsequently trapped in their car.

Fire service engines from both Cheddar and Wells attended the scene, and the crew used hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools to rescue the person from the car.

Police and the ambulance service also attended and the casualty was handed to the ambulance service.
