A MOTORCYLIST has died after crashing into a road sign in North Somerset in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The rider, a man in his 30s, reportedly crashed into a sign on the A38 by Havyatt Road, near Langford at around 12.30am on Sunday, January 26.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

“His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts remain with them during this incredibly difficult time,” a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said.

“They are being offered the support of a specialist family liaison officer.”

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage, to get in touch.
