A LORRY driver is in a ‘serious condition’ after a vehicle crashed into trees after leaving the M5 motorway.
The incident happened on the southbound carriageway between junctions 21 (Weston-Super-Mare) and 22 (Burnham-on-Sea) at between 9.15am and 9.30am on Monday morning (January 13).
Avon & Somerset Police officers investigating the incident are appealing for people with dashcam footage to come forward.
A spokesperson said a white DAF flat-bed lorry left the motorway and collided with trees.
“The driver of the lorry remains in hospital in serious condition,” they added.
