Cheddar Gorge graffiti to be removed

WORK will soon take place to remove graffiti at Cheddar Gorge.

The red spray paint on the south side of the popular Somerset natural landmark was noticed by passers-by on Tuesday (October 8).

Fenia Vitali, general manager at Cheddar Gorge and Caves, said: “It is naturally disappointing when vandalism takes place.

“Plans are in place to remove the graffiti.”

No indication was given on when the removal would take place.

The north side of the Gorge is owned by the National Trust while the south side is part of the Longleat Estate.
