FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue people from cars which got stuck in floods in Taunton and Chard.
A crew from Taunton was sent to a vehicle stranded in floodwater at Trull at around 12.35pm on Tuesday afternoon (October 8).
They used flood suits to reach the vehicle and a man “was taken to dry land safe and well”.
Around half an hour earlier, at 11.55am, a crew from Chard was sent to Donyatt, where two men had got stuck in floods.
“The men in question were removed to dry land safe and well, and the road was closed by police,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
