AFTER an “incredibly successful” first year in business, a Yeovil deli is expanding to offer a bistro serving up a modern British menu inspired by French classics.
The Acorn, in Church Street, has been operating as a café since last year with a monthly six-course supper club.
But now, the venue is looking to expand, offering a three-course menu on Friday evenings, as well as “proper” Sunday roasts from October 13.
A spokesperson said: “Our customers will, of course, still be able to pop in for locally-roasted coffee, delicious brunch, homecooked lunches and to shop for cheese and other produce in our deli, just as before.
“Equally, on Friday nights, we will still be serving our cheese boards and small plates in our bar area, which is something The Acorn has developed quite a reputation for!”
The new menu would features dishes created using “the finest Somerset meat and seasonal vegetables”, they said, alongside “gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options”.
“We’re really excited to be continuing on this journey towards accessible fine dining with our wonderful customers of Yeovil and beyond and we look forward to what lies ahead for year two of The Acorn.”
