New chair of trustees at Langport charity The Warehouse Trust

A NEW chair of trustees has been appointed at a Langport charity that manages a landmark town building.

The Warehouse Trust looks after Great Bow Wharf and other buildings, while supporting regeneration efforts in the town.

At the charity’s recent AGM, on September 3, Philip Snowden was appointed chair of trustees, taking over from Clive Sills, who has held the role for more than 10 years.

“During his tenure, Clive guided the Trust through a series of significant milestones, challenges and successes, playing a key role in shaping its direction,” a Trust spokesperson said.

“The Trust extends its sincere gratitude to Clive for his unwavering commitment and dedicated service over the past decade.”

They said Phil “brings a fresh perspective to the role and is enthusiastic about continuing the Trust’s mission”.

Meanwhile, the Trust has also delighted to continue its valued partnership with SBA CIC, who manage the day-to-day operations at Great Bow Wharf.

SBA CIC recently welcomed Jennifer to their team, whose role focusses on the day-to-day care and oversight of Great Bow Wharf.

“The appointment brings fresh energy and, along with new initiatives and events, further enhance the operations of the Trust,” the spokesperson added.
