A FOX needed emergency treatment after being found with a container stuck over its head.

The animal was brought to experts at the Secret World Wildlife Rescue, in East Huntspill, near Highbridge, after being found with its head stuck in a pond sticks tube.

“This Fox had managed to get its head stuck in a container while curiously looking for food,” a Secret World spokesperson said.

“It was found very quickly and our response team tried removing the container on arrival but were unable to do so.

“The fox ended up going to Green Pastures Vets and the container was very carefully removed from its head and the fox was able to be released that evening with no injuries.

“This is a good reminder to always put your rubbish in the bin because it may be a danger to wildlife.”
