THE family of Lee Mainwaring has thanked the community for “kind words, cards and flowers” after the 54-year-old sadly died in a crash last week.

Lee tragically died at the scene after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on the A38 Taunton Road in Bridgwater at around 9.30am on Sunday, August 4.

“Sadly, Lee died at the scene and our sincerest condolences and thoughts remain with his family and friends at this time, who are being supported by a family liaison officer,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.

His family has now thanked those who have shown their sympathy at a difficult time.

“We would like thank everybody for their kind words, cards and flowers. Lee will be hugely missed,” they said.
