Little Town Adventures opens in Weston super Mare today

CHILDREN get to be mayor and look after Weston-super-Mare at a new attraction which opens today (May 17) – after a visit from TV star Joe Swash.

Little Town Adventures, in Beach Road, promises an “immersive play experience” for youngsters up to the age of seven.

Featuring a town hall, pier, cinema, vets and more, Little Town Adventures has been created by the team behind successful play locations including Ocean Adventurers in Cheddar and Space Adventurers in Taunton.

Founders Tom and Laura Filer have gone an extra step with their latest venture, with Little Town Adventures offering a role-playing element, complete with script and mission – all set in a miniature Weston.

Swash, famed for his roles in EastEnders and I’m a Celebrity…, was on-hand at a grand opening this week, alongside mayor of Weston, Cllr Ciaran Cronnelly and mayoress, Katherine.

After the launch, Laura said: “What an amazing day we had at the official Grand Opening of Little Town Adventures yesterday.

“We were absolutely delighted to be joined by Joe Swash and the actual Mayor of Weston-Super-Mare to open our brand new attraction.

“Little Town Adventures is a world-first theatrical play experience where children become a part of the storyline and join in to help save and look after Weston-Super-Mare.

“It was incredible – and a little emotional – to finally see children enjoy and experience it after working on the concept for over four years.”
