A LIB Dem councillor has resigned from Somerset Council.
Alex Wiltshire, who represented Mendip South alongside Cllr Claire Sully, has stepped down after deciding to move to Australia, your Somerset Leveller understands.
The announcement is expected to trigger another by-election.

Later this week, voters in Somerton will head to the polls after a by-election was called following the sad passing of former councillor, Dean Ruddle, in January.
I would expect the Green Party to do really well in Mendip South.
