A CAR was damaged by fire in Taunton on Sunday afternoon (March 3).
Firefighters from the town were sent to the Vivary area at just after 4pm after reports of a vehicle fire.
“Once in attendance, crews confirmed one vehicle well alight and got to work using breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet,” a Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“The fire was contained to the engine bay of the vehicle but still caused significant damage to the engine compartment.”
The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental, they added.
