A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a crash in Burnham.

The crash – involving a black Ford Focus and a grey Volkswagen Golf – happened in Love Lane, at the junction with Ramsay Way, at around 8.05pm on Friday night (February 9).

Police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to the scene and the driver of the Golf, a woman in her 30s, had to be freed by firefighters before being taken to hospital. She has since been discharged.

The Focus was unoccupied by the time officers arrived, police said.

“We understand a man and a woman who may have been in the vehicle at the time of the collision left the scene on foot,” a spokesperson added.
