UKIP’s challenge in Somerset & Frome appeared to have suffered a set-back with the sudden resignation of candidate Roger Clark just three months prior to the 7th May General Election. However the party have moved swiftly to plug the gap appointing County Councillor Alan Dimmick as their new candidate. Mr Dimmick is a resident of Yeovil and is the UKIP group leader on the County Council. His rapid appointment should mean that UKIP will still be represented at the various hustings taking place across the constituency.
