Fail to stop incident – Cheddar

Yesterday (Wednesday) between 10-10.15am a pedestrian in his 60s suffered head injuries after being in collision with a car which failed to stop. The incident happened on the B3135 Axbridge Road, near to the BP petrol station.

The man was taken to Weston General Hospital for treatment.

The car involved is likely to have impact damage to the bonnet area, front grill, lights and the windscreen from the force of hitting the victim.

Avon & Somerset Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries. They would particularly like to hear from anyone who was using the B3135 at the time of the incident who may have dash cam footage.
