Curry Rivel school closed

Curry Rivel Primary School is closed again today after the a torrent of water flooded the school at the weekend. A large part of the school had contaminated water running through it and so the school stayed closed yesterday (Monday 8th February) awaiting an assessment from an Environmental Health surveyor. The result is that it will need a “deep clean” throughout. And there is no simple solution either as the school head reminds us “There are a host of important issues to consider paramount to the health of the children & staff. Unfortunately not as simple as moving to alternative and multiple locations. Which provides us with safeguarding problems. We effectively have nowhere from where to run the school: no office, no staff room, toilets and two classrooms, no hall etc.”

If you have children at the school, the usual website is not working but you can find more information at

Apple Trees will be open today (Tuesday) please call Debs  on 07799423884 to book a place.
