Conservatives struggling in South Somerset

Early indications from counting in South Somerset suggest the national LibDem surge is going the same way here. Derek Yeomans lost Burrow Hill by just 4 votes on a fourth recount. The Lib Dems retained three seats in Chard with a third going to Independent candidate Dave Bulmer.

So far only Mike Lewis in Camelot has gone against the trend winning for the Conservatives with over 600 votes, although the Conservatives hung on by their fingernails in Bruton on a marin of less than 10.
