Another ATM attack in Langport

It barely seems a moment since the ramraid on the old Nat West cash machine in Langport but in fact it was three years ago.

And now Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after another attack on a cash machine in the town square, this time in the early hours of Saturday (5th January) morning .

The attack happened between 1.29am and 2.16am in and was initiated with an explosion to damage the machine prior to stealing the cash from it. The attack was on the PhoneBox ATM not the one in the One Stop opposite. Police are concerned that the offense posed a significant risk to the public and are aware that there were people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the attack.
