Young Frome footballers off to Germany following fundraising success

18 YOUNG footballers from Frome Town United FC’s youth squad are heading for Frome’s twin town Murrhardt in Germany in July, having successfully reached their fundraising target for the trip.

The players will take part in a mini European football tournament at Murrhardt from July 5 to July 7, timed to coincide with Euro 2024.

They will play against teams from Frome’s other twin towns, Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne in France, and Rabka-Zdrój and Rötha in Poland, as well as Murrhardt, and will also have the opportunity to travel to Stuttgart Stadium and visit the fan zones/Euro Cup event areas within Stuttgart City Centre.

Fundraising activities included a bingo night at Badgers Hill and a challenge event that saw them climb Mount Snowdon.
