Yeovil rugby players turn Good Samaritans to help 89-year-old man

TWO Yeovil rugby players turned Good Samaritans on their way home from a game when they encountered an elderly man whose car had broken down.

Harry Froude and Callum Regan were travelling back from a match at Frome when they spotted the 89-year-old, who had broken down on a busy route.

“In a heartwarming act of kindness, Harry and Callum stopped to assist,” said a Yeovil Rugby Club spokesperson.

“The duo patiently waited until help arrived, then went the extra mile by driving the elderly gentleman’s car home and ensuring he was safe.

“A grateful email expressing thanks was received to the rugby club, highlighting the compassionate actions of Froude and Regan. Well done lads.”
