Man suffers suspected ‘life-changing injuries’ after BMW crash on A38 at Axbridge

A BMW convertible landed in a ditch after a crash on the A38 at Axbridge.

A man in his 30s suffered suspected life-changing injuries in the crash, police said, which happened at around 7.40pm on Sunday night (June 16).

An Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said the crash happened in Turnpike Road when the red vehicle left the road, before colliding with a hedgerow and ending up in a ditch.

“The four occupants of the car were taken to hospital for treatment,” they added. “One of them, a man in his thirties, has suffered suspected life-changing injuries.

“We’d like to speak to anyone who has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage showing a red BMW travelling on the A38 northbound towards Bristol around the time of the collision.”

Anyone who can help should contact police on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5224156759.
