CCTV appeal after threats ‘to get a knife’ outside Minehead pub

POLICE investigating reports of a man making threats outside a Minehead pub are keen to trace this woman, who they think might have witnessed the incident.

Some time between 12.30am and 1am on Sunday, March 24, a man was heard making threats outside the Duke of Wellington, including threatening to get a knife.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection a short time after the incident on suspicion of a using threatening, abusive or insulting words with intent to cause fear, an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said. He was released on police bail while enquiries continue.

“Officers are keen to speak to the woman in this CCTV who they believed witnessed the incident,” they added.
