Betty Blue Eyes is an utterly British musical, based on a hilarious script written by Alan Bennet for the 1984 film ‘A Private Function’.
Set in 1947, the war has ended but people are still suffering under the burden of food rationing, high unemployment, and the coldest winter for decades!
Betty, an adorable pig, is being illegally reared to ensure the local dignitaries can celebrate the Royal Wedding of Princess Elizabeth & Prince Philip with a lavish banquet while the local population make do with Spam!
When Gilbert Chilvers stumbles across the pig, he takes her home in revenge for the Town Council blocking the humble dream of having his own chiropody premises and much chaos ensues!
Not to be missed!
7:30pm – 10:00pm (approximately) each day.
Event cost: £16
